No Laundry Folding System

Spread the love

No laundry folding is an effective, stress-free system for depression.

Depression and laundry folding are everyone’s nightmares. When you’re lying in bed, day one, day two, the laundry that you have been trying to get on top of just so no one runs out of clean clothes is now piling to the ceiling.

Use this system to keep your home free of clean laundry lying on couches, beds, and the floor. This system will not only keep your eye soring unfolded laundry hidden away without causing any mess or stress.

It will make looking for each person’s clothes in an enormous pile of unfolded laundry issues smoother, and without tears, and tantrums in the morning before school.

I will take you through how to sort your clean depression laundry that you have washed but didn’t get the chance to fold and sort.

The first thing you need to do, as I always stressed in all my writings, is; to never touch anything when you are not ready for it.

What I mean by the word “ready for it” is explained here.

  • Take laundry baskets. A laundry basket for each room, or two if one is not enough.
  • Now, arrange the laundry baskets next to each other and next to the laundry pile.
  • Now start sorting the laundry into baskets, one for each room. What this means is that you are going to put in each basket the clean laundry belonging to the people in each room.
  • Start sorting from in front of you. Don’t jump around. Sort by where you are standing or sitting. Do not reach far away from you.
  • Isolate underwear from clothes in a separate basket, again a basket for each room.
  • Isolate socks. With socks, you need to isolate all the family socks in a separate basket. Do not divide socks into rooms.
  • Take the baskets to the rooms.
  • Put the basket in a corner of the room.

Remove and clear away any clutter near the baskets of clean laundry. Direct the children to the baskets. Let the kids know. All their clean clothes and underwear are in the corner in those baskets.

Within a few days, those baskets will be all emptied and returned to your magic laundry room.

Instruct the children to put everything back in those baskets after they go through them.

Make a great deal of it so they get the message. But do not use strong or belittling words. Just the right words will get the message you want to get through to their heads. And never put your hands on a child. Even if they keep doing it, keep reminding them.

Laundry on the floor is not worth hurting a child over.

The folding process

During your smart morning cleaning routine,. Just before you leave the room, fold a few items as much as you can and put them in their place; you don’t have to fold the entire basket, just a few.

Now move on to the next room and do the same.

You will do this every morning during your smart morning cleaning routine until you have folded everything.

Continue doing laundry the depression method until you are well enough to do laundry as usual.

This method, where laundry is not folded, is to be used only when you’re exhausted or unwell.

However, if you’re determined to do as you usually do, then go for it.
