Bathroom Hygiene With Depression

Bathroom Hygiene

Spread the love

Bathroom hygiene: dirty bathrooms are as dangerous as having rotten food in the fridge.

Bathroom Hygiene: Dirty bathrooms are one of the most abandoned places in our homes when we suffer a bout of depression.

While many things can be ignored while we are in a depression episode, the bathroom is to be treated with the utmost care and must have its own cleaning routine.

Giving the bathroom the right hygiene care within a suitable, workable timetable can make all the difference between a healthy family and an always-unwell family.-

Cleaning Routine.

This is my bathroom cleaning routine.

You can try this routine and see if it works for you. This routine works perfectly for me.

Monday to Sunday, if you have small children who use the bathroom by themselves unsupervised.

Mondays to Fridays if you only have older children.

  • Clean the toilet and the bathrooms every morning.
  • Pick up all the wet laundry and remove it from the bathrooms.
  • Clear the vanity of all items and products.
  • Spray the vanity with an antibacterial spray.
  • Scrub the vanity, rinse and wipe it down.
  • Dry the vanity top very well.
  • Tidy the top of the vanity.
  • Use an antibacterial spray to clean the toilet bowl. Don’t forget the bowl lid and under the lid of the toilet bowl.
  • Spray around the toilet bowl (outside) with the antibacterial spray.

Shower;

  • Pick up all the bottles and shower stuff off the floor and put them in their places. (don’t forget to rinse everything from the floor before you put them back to their place.) If the shelves of the shower look like they need cleaning, then put everything outside the shower and spray the shelves with antibacterial spray.
  • Spray the shower and bath with a good bathroom or shower antibacterial spray, then let the spray sit to do its work while you clean other things.
  • Go back to the shower and bath after at least 10 minutes and rinse them down.
  • Mop up the floor.
  • Change hand towels.
  • Empty the trash if there are tissues, period pads, or wound dressings in the trash.
Bathtub Hygiene.

If your shower is over the bathtub and you only use the bathtub to take a shower, clean it like the shower.

If you use the bathtub to take baths, you need to spray the bathtub and scrub it after every use or before every use.

Note:

Cleaning the bathtub immediately after use makes it easier to get off the dirt sticking on the sides of the bathtub.

Shower deep Cleaning Routine.

Friday: Friday should be your shower, bath, and toilet deep cleaning routine.

Clean the showers thoroughly.

  • Take out all the bottles, soaps and loofas.
  • spray the entire shower and the cuddy or shelves, where all the bottles and soaps sit.
  • Let it sit for ten minutes, then scrub and rinse thoroughly, before you put everything back.
  • Change the loofas. Sanitize dirty loofas and throw them in the machine for washing. On Saturday and Sunday, you take a break from the bathroom cleaning if you don’t have small children. With small children, you assess the level of mess and take it from there. It’s important to minimize cleaning on the weekends.
