We have a towel routine in place hence we have lots of towels on the line.
Our routine is clean towels a person every single day. Towels therefore must be washed by the end of the day ready for the next day
We each also have a spare towel just in case I have a down day {depression}and unable to wash the towels of the day, then the spare towel will then be used.Â
For most people, a clean towel a day or washing towels everyday is just not practical which is true for many. In the case of our house, it has a reason and off course the kids didn’t take part in the decision to have a clean towel everyday for each person, this was my own decision.Â
From the time my first child was born the idea of clean towel a day came into play.
My son have his towel washed everyday immediately after his bath, his clothes we was wearing before the bath also get a wash immediately nothing is reuse without a wash.
Ever since then I adopted this routine.Â
Was I like this before I had a child? The answer is No.
So how did I come to adopt this habbit? Well I really don’t know but looking at it when my husband first question this routine sighting the amount of laundry I have to do on top of other home chores, I have a reason that may have contributed to it.
I believe it’s cleaner and healthier to use a clean towel everyday.Â
Considering the parts of our bodies we dry with our towel how would one know there are no bacteria caught in the towel as we dry our bodies. More over I can not image drying ones self’s bottom with a towel then next day dry himself with the same towel with a high chance of the person drying his face with the side of the towel that he used for his bottom yesterday.Â
Because our skin always have bacteria growing on them there is a high possibility of bacteria growing on the towels feeding on our dead skin cells on the tower from a previous use. This could cause eye infection and young children with low immune system would affect the most.
